ContactRelief Hurricane Irma Recommendations For Contact Centers

ContactRelief recommends additional contact suspensions for Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.

ContactRelief is making public its Hurricane Irma recommendations made to subscribers Monday, September 11th.

Hurricane Irma Update

The National Hurricane Center reports in its Monday, 8 AM advisory that Hurricane Irma is now a Category 1 storm and further weakening is expected through Tuesday.

Irma has a very large wind field. Tropical storm warnings have been issued for parts of Alabama and South Carolina and much or central and northern Georgia. ContactRelief is recommending that contact be suspended in these areas. We expect these tropical storm warnings to be lifted Tuesday, September 12.

Recommendations

Contact should be suspended to these Alabama counties: Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Crenshaw, Elmore, Etowah, Montgomery, Randolph, St. Clair, Talladega, Tallapoosa.

Contact should be suspended to these Georgia counties: Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clarke, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, Dade, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fannin, Fayette, Floyd, Forsyth, Fulton, Gilmer, Glascock, Gordon, Greene, Gwinnett, Hall, Hancock, Haralson, Heard, Henry, Jackson, Jasper, Lumpkin, Madison, McDuffie, Morgan, Murray, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Putnam, Rockdale, Spalding, Taliaferro, Towns, Union, Walker, Walton, Warren, White, Whitfield, Wilkes.

Contact should be suspended to these South Carolina counties: Allendale, Dorchester, Hampton.
