Thomas Fire Expands, Lilac is Contained

The Thomas Fire continued its expansion into Santa Barbara County Monday. The fire now threatens part of the cities of Carpinteria and Montecito. Fire officials report that above-average temperatures, single-digit humidities, and gusty Santa Ana winds will continue to push the fire to the west. Mandatory evacuations are still in effect for significant parts of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. ContactRelief's recommends continued suspension of contact with consumers affected by the Thomas Fire until further notice. To cover the new evacuation areas, we have added an additional zip code to the suspension zone.

Significant progress was reported in the Lilac Fire. Containment reached 90% and mandatory evacuations were lifted. We expect to issue a resumption of contact with consumers in the affected areas Tuesday, December, 12th,2017.
