ContactRelief is making public its Hurricane Maria recommendations made to subscribers Monday, September 25th.

Hurricane Maria is moving offshore near the North Carolina Outer Banks. The National Weather Serivce has issued Tropical Storm Warnings for the coastal islands and related areas of North Carolina.

The forecasted track of Hurricane Maria is shown as it moves offshore affecting the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

ContactRelief has issued a recommendation to suspend contact with this region. To avoid suspending a large population for what is hoped to be a short term event before Hurricane Maria turns to the northeast and away from shore, we have made our recommendations at the zip code level. We expect to lift this recommendation by Wednesday, September 26th.

We maintain our recommendation to suspend contact with Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands for the foreseeable future.
